Hi,

I have creates a local software component in ESR, and created a test service.

The service isnot visible in sproxy transaction.

i have already checked the following:

1)Type g connection is in place in sm59.

2)I am not getting the button to test connection in sproxy.

3)sproxy displays services under local objects only. I don't get any error message saying no connection to esr.

I have gone through a number of threads, but nothing seemed to help.

kindly help.

Local Software Component is used If you want to create objects locally purely for testing, you can define a local software component version for this purpose. A local software component version is not based on data from the System Landscape Directory.

Pros:

1. It works as SLD based software component version

2. You can import RFC/IDOC for testing.

3. You can create namespace and other objects under this.

4. Test the new features in ESR

Cons:

1. No connection to SLD and ID

2. You can't transport any local objects by using Change Management Service (CMS).

3. You can't perform any runtime test.

Raj

you need to create an actual SWCV....local is used only for creating some dummy objects (from whom no configuration other than ESR can be. needs to be done).

Hi,

Does that imply, that services under local software component are not available inn sproxy?
