Inspection Lot creation for the 103 movement type

Dear Experts,

we have the requirement of Creating the Inspection lot for the 103 movement type. we have done all the necessary settings for 103 movement type (in OMJJ and under the node Quality Management --> Quality Inspection -->Inspection Lot Creation -->Inspection for Goods Movements) but still I am unable to achieve the results. Same is happening for 105 movements.

Kindly let us know what settings need to be done in order to achieve the same.

Hi,

Check in IMG: Quality inspection: Inspection Lot Creation: Inspection for Goods Movements: Movement Type/Update Control/Inspection Lot Origin.

Behind each movement type you can see whether there is an inspection lot origin or not. If there is only one and you use inspection types related to this origin (or create your own inspection type but they must be linked to this given lot origin).

In this case there is inspection lot origin 01.

Then you have to check section: Deactivate Quality Inspection for a Movement Type and there you can see that "QM not activa" is as a default for this movement type. If you set this indicator for a movement type, no inspection lots are created for stock postings.

You must also change this if you want your inspection lot.

But the said settings are already in place but still we are unable to create inspection lot for 103 movement type. We are able to create for 105 movement type.

Pl. let us know is there any other settings that can be done.

Hi,

Make sure the following things:

Set up the Material Master -QM view for the inspn type (default 01).

Check the options used in for inspection type 01 used in the material master.

In default setting for MIGO Change mvmt type for GR from 101 to 103 & adopt. Then do MIGO for the material.

Please check if the material has the inspection plan created in the same plant.

Check out the usage and status in inspection plan header.

Where does the stock goes after doing MIGO?

Hi,

If you have activated two inspection types (eg 01, 0101) of same inspection lot origin (01), in material master you should have a preferred indicator set for the inspection type for which you want to be selected when you perform goods receipt.

This check box is available in the inspection type set up in the Material master.

Also check whether the post to inspection stock indicator is set for the material (in the inspection type), then only material will be posted to inspection stock.

Please confirm, what happens to the stock after making MIGO. check in MMBE and confirm

Go through the link and maintain the necessary settings. I think default settings for 01 type should work.

Hi,

Please do the following things.

Process Side:

Step 1: Transaction - MM02

Tick mark should be made for Active and preferred Inspection for "01" Inspection type for that Plant.then Ensure Tick mark in Post to inspection stock.

Step 2:Transaction -ME23n

please ensure that in PO item level "Delivery tab" stock type should be in Quality inspection.

Customization Side:

Step 1: Path-SPRO->Quality Management->Quality Inspection->Inspection lot creation->Inspection for goods movement. Then double click on "Deactivate Quality Inspection for a Movement Type" and Untick under the QM not active for movement type 103.

In both the cases ,If the scenario is for "Goods movement for purchase order" then by default it should create Inspection lot for 01.
