Does sap pi 7.1 support jre 1.7 version?

PI 7.1 works in JDK1.5+ and runs on JRE1.5. Previous versions are using 1.4

JRE1.5 and above are designed for quicker garbage collection and more. So you really see better performance improvement in PI 7.1 and above versions. Plus 7.1 and above versions requires 64 bit os.
