If you have already created a characteristic and then if you want to change it, these fields are not available for editing. You can never do the change because , the characteristic may be used in some transactions. So it is not possible to change this.
You only have to create a new characteristic and in this case, these fields will be available for use. For already existing characteristics, this is not possible.
