Updating UOM on the price list

Issue:

Need to change the UOM (unit of measure that was configured via VK11 - price condition record). [see image|http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/h336/809836724/sd/UOMSept142011.jpg]

It is now in kilogram and I need kto change it to Drum UOM.

My 1st option:

Edit the UOM. Problem is, UOM is not editable. [see image|http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/h336/809836724/sd/UOMSept142011.jpg]

2nd option:

Delete the entries (thousands of them) and just create new entries.

The problem with this option is that when you create the LSMW recording for VK12 (where you can flag the item for deletion- [see image|http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/h336/809836724/sd/LSMW02sept142011.jpg]) after the recording, when you about to hit the "default all" ([see image|http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/h336/809836724/sd/LSMWsept142011.jpg]), I noticed that the fields that I have used was not captured by the recording, like the material#, sales org, sales office. I am very sure that I was doing the right thing on that LSMW recording. Because of this behavior of LSMW, I cannot use this recording to delete the entries on PR01 (price condition type).

Please help. Thanks.

Check whether you can use Unit of Measure conversion from KG to Drum in the material master. After maintaining the UOM conversion, then test creating a sales order in Drums and see how the pricing is pulled in the sales orders.

Hi

I was checking the condition record change screen in the scales maintenance. The unit comes as editable. I think you can come here for every record and change the UOM. If you change it to another UOM, before changing you have to make sure that the the material masters are accordingly changed.

You can do the following activities.

1. First change the UOM in material master for one material, and maintain the conversion factors.

2. Now come in change mode in VK12 and check if UOM is changable. It should be changeable. If it is editable, you just have to change it.

3. If not editable, then you have to go to scales view, and you should be able to change there.

Step1 is mandatory for doing either 2 or 3.

Hi Anwar,

1) Check after converting from KG to and see how . After maintaining check how the pricing is pulled in the sales orders.

2) As you thought mark the deletion for the old one and create new entries.LSMS is the better for to create or change the conditions.I made the changes in recording with lsmw. You check with abapers else post.

Madhu.
