Error 1305. Error reading from file

c:\Users\xx\Desktop\CRforVS_13_0_1\package\CrystalReportsForVisualStudio.msi. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

I get that error everytime I launch the setup.

I've tried to launch the msi file, same thing.

I'm local admin.

I had the beta version installed and it was working fine.

I've uninstalled it and ran the setup.

I have Visual Studio 2010 pro.

Windows 7 x64.

I've downloaded the file 4 times and still get the same problem.

Search for a Kbase on how to clean off the beta completely.

Then empty your \User\temp folder and do not use a local folder called c:\temp.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

I followed 1535325 - How to remove CRVS2010 Beta 2 .

Deleted all files from the temp folders.

It still did not work.

Then I though that maybe the path was the issue, it was in the CR2010 folder on my desktop.

I moved the files on the root of the C drive and then it worked.

Great...

It may have been a permission issue, possibly extracting the files manually to a folder and then right clicking on the EXE and run as Administrator may have worked also...

Thanks again

Doing the following steps worked for me...

1. Extract the "CRforVS_13_0_1.exe" manually

2. Copy the file "CrystalReportsForVisualStudio.msi" from package and paste it at the root of C drive

3. Run the "CrystalReportsForVisualStudio.msi" and it installed the crystal Report
