BI JAVA portal - Administrator

Gurus,

We have BI ABAP and BI JAVA portal with different SID.

Version of these tow systems are as below.

u2022 BI ABAP u2013 SAP EHP 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (SID=VI1)

u2022 BI JAVA PORTAL u2013 NETWEAVER 7.01 SP8 (SID=VI2)

We have changed the UME Data source of BI JAVA portal to BI ABAP.

Basis team has observed that Administratoru2019s (User ID- Administrator in BI JAVA UME) password is expiring due to this change.

In other wordu2019s Administratoru2019s password never expired when UME data soured was u2018Databaseu2019

We have checked that Administrator belongs to Default Security Policy Profile.

Password Validity Period (Days):=90 [Default Security Policy]

Please can you confirm solution over it?

Should we add Administrator to security policy = Technical User or set Password Validity Period (Days):=0

Do confirm that this behaviour of administrator is due to the change in UME data source.

Thanks

ARD

Hello,

you maintain user in BW side system user which is configuration user UME to BW abap.

Hi ,

We are using SAPJSF user for ABAP to UME communication.

Thanks

No. SAPJSF cannot influence the password policy for the named users logging onto Java using their ABAP accounts to authenticate.

The ABAP rules are now applicable to the Java stack, and currently this also applies to administrators.

Cheers,

Julius

SAP Suggested to Change Administrator to - Security Policy - Technical.
