Hi,

You need to instal BOE client tool.

Then you can use InfoView.

Hi,

Ragoth.C - No need to install BOE client on machine to access info view. You can access info view from any system without any BOE installation.

Have you setup the BOE server. If yes then you can access infoview from your client machine.

Thanks,

Amit

Hello,

Let me add to what have been mentioned above.

For SAP BOBJ installation you have to plan your setup first.

Yes, if you do SAP Business Objects Enterprise setup and use all the default options which are prompted by the installer you can see that there will two application servers (default) Tomcat5.5 & IIS

These are the two APP servers which host applications like InfoView, CMC etc.

By default in case of Tomcat for XI3.1: -

InfoView URL: - http://<Hostname>:<Port>/InfoViewApp/

CMC URL: - http://<Hostname>:<Port>/CmcApp/

here <hostname> is the machine where Tomcat (shipped with product itself) is running

and <Port> is where Tomcat is listening (Default Port is 8080) --> You can install this on server machine itself or if you want to install it on any other machine you have to do "clustering".

Now I would recommend that first you go through link http://service.sap.com/support/ --> "Help & Support" --> "SAP Business Objects Support" --> "Documentation" --> "Supported Platforms/PARs" --> "SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1"

spend some time reading document are per your required version: -

Enterprise XI 3.1 SP3 - Windows - Supported Platforms

Enterprise XI 3.1 SP4 - Windows - Supported Platforms

Now once you have infrastructure ready as mentioned in these guide you can follow the link as provided in the above post to carry on the installation.

Thanks

Hi,

You can directly access the BusinessObjects Enterprise InfoView for SAP

Go to the main page of the InfoView for SAP:

http://webserver/businessobjects/enterprise115/sap/infoview

(on Windows)

http://webserver:port/businessobjects/enterprise115/sap/desktoplaunch

(on UNIX)

Replace webserver with the name of the web server that is set up for BusinessObjects Enterprise. For more information about the InfoView, click

Help to see the BusinessObjects Enterprise InfoView for SAP Useru2019s Guide.

All the Best,

Madhu...
