How to find the owner of checked-out record

Hi,

We have a record with Protected and Check out mode(which is not a part of Workfolw). We want to know the owner of the checked out/protected record. Could anyone let me know the procedure for this.

Select the checked out record and Right Click on it, then select Check In/Out --> All Versions

Now on the Member version of Checked Out Record, see the Updated By field.

It should tell you the user id which was used to last check out this record. Hope this helps.

Hi Sekhar,

The Data Manager guide says this :

checkout is a versioning mechanism that allows users

to edit a copy of a record over an extended period of time as part of a

collaborative process without changing the original until you commit the

changes, and only then makes them visible to users all at once.

With respect to the user and time of last change recorded in MDMu2019s

*Time Stamp and User Stamp fields the guiding principle is that

checkout is a hiding mechanism*.

So MDM does not reveal by design the owner of Checkout.

Please follow this thread and note Alok's comment,which says it can be done using Tracing.
