What is the significance of Product Group in FS CD?

In FS CD, there is an option to define Product Groups. But the features of an Insurance product cannot be captured while configuring the product group.

Then what is the significance of a product group in CD?

as you see prgrp field is defined in company code level so he can use values 4 desicions below cc level such as account assingnment or which premium debth are from io policy moves to broker io.

we use it to divide premiums from one policy that origin is from two company codes.
