Malfunction start date is blank in notification

Hi All

Earlier we were using QM01 transction code to create notifcation ( Type F3) . But now we are only using defect recording QF01 which create the notification in background. But this is causing problem as follows

When we create notifcation ( Type f3) the malfunction date is copied as default date on which notificatio is created which is correct.

But when the same notification is created ( notification type F3) by defect recording the malfunction date is blank ;it does not uses the default date as notification date.

request your input how the malfunction date can be set as default date in the notification created by using defect recording QF01.

Hi Amol,

Please confirm whether currently the date is blank when creating notification type F3 through defect recording QF01 but the default date is copied here when you are creating notification type F3 through QM01.

In configuration you can make this a required field. But I'm not sure it will defaut in a value for you just by doing so. But its worth a try.
