Error adding a new SC to an existing track

I am trying to add a new software component to an existing track - I can select the SC from the list and I see it added to the SC list for the track but I am getting the following error after clicking the Save button:

DTR (URL http://cgunx130:50000/dtr) server exception: Repository "http://cgunx130:50000/dtr" failed to properly respond to request "MKCOL ws/MAPMSST1/compassgroup.com_MAPPCR/" [HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error]

Any idea what is causing this? I have tried creating the new SC in the same Product, as well as in a new Product if that makes any difference.

We have accumulated a number of DCs that are all currently in the same SC, I am trying to break these out into a more managable number of SCs. Does this seem like the right approach, or am I better of creating a completely new track with multiple SCs. By the way, I received a similar error when I tried to create a new track.

Try restarting the DTR application and see if the problem persists.
