CBF Char B Fcsts going to wrong Characteristics when release from DP toPPDS

I have a prototype with CDP settings (not VC) and have set up a DP planning Object structure with CBF and when I release the forecast from DP to PPDS the values go to the wrong characteristics.

Does anyone have any idea what I could be doing wrong? Or if there is a system issue?

I have followed the steps for SCM7.0 as per

So have material with consumption group with

Product

Location

COLOUR

CBF mapping for COLOUR

Enter forecast at Product location and colour level

eg

YELLOW = 6 units

RED = 8 UNITS

Then I release the forecast to PPDS and the forecast arrives OK, but the characteristics in PPDS are

APO Product ZZZAPO2

APO Location 2010

Mat Forecast Group 0000

Mat Family 004480YELLOW

So the YELLOW that came over seems to have somehow gone to a completely different Characteristic, and there is also a 2nd characteristic that has four zeros. The 2 characteristics are ones that are in the POS, but no idea why they came over instead of COLOUR

Hi,

Please check your consumption group. Have you included the color characteristic correctly and have any other characteristic?

Since the forecast values are coming correctly, the CBF profile should be fine. The problem may be with your consumption group.

Checked again. Consumption group just has Product, Location and colour. I even created an entire new POS and Planning area which did not have the extra characteristics at all, and it still sends them over (but from this one, the colour no longer comes over within any of the wrong ones). So its still a mess!

Raised an OSS customer note.

Sadly I raised it as "low" priority, so it is going to be a long wait.

So far, they have come back with the very relevant note below, but this still has not fixed it for us.

Note 1599713 - Release from DP to SNP in DP job doesn't work with CBF chars

So the customer message has gone to the development group I think.

Got this to work eventually.

To get this to work, needed to change the following. Implement OSS

And global settings Propagation Active for Descriptive values

Implement BADI /SAPAPO/DM_BADI_CONF

method /SAPAPO/IF_EX_DM_BADI_CONF~CONFR_FILL.
