sap netweaver trial can't start mmc - worked before

hi everybody,

I've installed to the SAP Netweaver Trial version on windows xp.

Everything worked fine at first (yesterday).

Today, I startup win xp, i want to logon, but i get an error (10061).

I looked at the mmc and saw it isn't running.

If i right click, and choose 'start', i have to insert username and password.

Standard it says 'HOME\merijn' (merijn is my logon name in xp). I fill in the master password, but no luck.

Can anyone tell me which username and password i have to insert ?

Or any other solutions.

If its related to authentication - Really we can't help other than a suggestion to use right credentials

If it is accepting the credentials and not starting the MMC, just paste the error lines

Hi,

"Does the authentication succeed (with the winxp user)?"

Is this the 'HOME\Merijn' user then ?

I believe it has to do with authorization. But i don't know what i have to fill in. I didn't have to fill in when i installed the system.

They ask for OS user ?

Is it NSPADM, or something like that ?

And the password, is it my masterpassword that i had to fill in while installing (that i remember )

Hi,

Definitely an authetication issue while starting the system.

- I assume 'HOME' is the computer name here.

- Is HOME\Merijn user an OS administrative user?

- You could check the above or else while starting the system via SAP MMC, use the <sid>adm user credentials: NSPADM and the master password give n during installation.

I've got it up and running again.

I logged on to win xp with user NSPADM and turned on the MMC.

Afterwards, i logged on with my own user (Merijn) and got connected with the system.

So, i used my own user to start the mmc, and that didn't work. I had to start mmc with the OS user.

Thus, i can't start the mmc with my own user at XP, i have to use the NSPADM user.

Hi,

Does the authentication succeed (with the winxp user)? Are you getting an authentication error or is the system not starting up even after the authenticate succeeds. The latter may need looking at the logs and traces.
