Hi Kalyan,

Key Figures are available in Planning Area. Planning Book of a particular planning area uses subset of those Key figures available in the Planning Area.

A key figure is usually a freely definable "data container" that only takes on meaning once the key figure semantic has been assigned.

APO Key Figures can be differentiated in terms of semantics

E.g., 001 standard time series in liveCache

000 order objects in liveCache

002 infocube Key figures

100 - 399 = Semantics for SNP time series objects in liveCache

401 - 699 = Semantics for DP BOM time series

999 = Semantics for key figures in planning areas that were generated by time series data management.

In another way , we can say there are three types of key figure :

u2022 Quantity -Use this type for physical quantities

u2022 Amount-This type is amounts of money

u2022 Number-Use this type for numbers that do not have units of measure or currencies, such as factors.

The unit of measure and currency are always taken from the planning area.

Each key figure in a planning area has its own data storage method.

In Demand Planning (DP) and Supply Network Planning (SNP), you can store data in three ways:

u2022 in liveCache time series objects

u2022 in liveCache orders

u2022 in an InfoCube

It can be differentiated in terms of use either in DP or SNP.

Examples of key figures used in Demand Planning are planned demand and actual sales history. Examples of key figures used in Supply Network Planning are production receipts and distribution receipts.

Also you can create auxiliary key figures that are not saved in the planning area but can be displayed as rows in interactive planning.
