Hi,

I have solved the problem.

add the environment variable to the <SID>adm user environment

in /home/<SID>adm/ to the file ".j2eeenv_<hostname>.csh"

JAVA_COMPILER=NONE

Thanks for your suggestions

Hi,

this is the output of java -version executed with sidadm:

java version "1.4.2"

Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 2.3)

IBM J9 VM (build 2.3, J2RE 1.4.2 IBM J9 2.3 AIX ppc64-64 j9ap64142-20070708 (JIT enabled)

J9VM - 20070530_12820_BHdSMr

JIT - 20070529_1824_r8

GC - 20070328_AA)

Any suggestion?

Thanks

So you've got a J9 JDK: Follow the related note and set the environment option for J9.

But foremost: The JDK ist more than four years old! I'm pretty sure there is a more recent version of Java 1.4 for AIX.

HI Zoltan,

you think it is possible that my error is due to the fact that the password of the administrator user J2EE_ADMIN is incorrect?

I tell you that, because the customer dosen't remember the J2EE_ADMIN password in the source system and when sapinst ask me to insert the password, I try to insert one, but the customer isen't sure it is the good one

Thanks

This does not look like a problem related to an incorrect password.

Please check note 810008.

Consult the output of "java -version" as performed by the SAP administration user (sidadm) to see what specific JVM is is installed and used.

The Java Virtual Machine dumped core. There is a problem deep in the guts of the JVM.

First: Is the problem reproducible?

I have seen soft errors in the JVM. Popping up at random times, in different places. We suspected thermal problems on the server. Eventually the errors went away.

Then: Check JVM version and configuration.

Not every JVM version is supported by SAP. But usually there are symptoms other than core dumps when using an unsupported JVM.

Perhaps there is a more recent version of the JVM?

Is the JVM properly installed? At least on Linux there is an environment variable to be set to activate some Features if the IBM JVM.

Good luck,

zoltan
