Hi All,
I am doing fresh SAP installation in AIX.
In step abap import i skipped the DD03L step due to some errors and my installation is completed
If i restore some other database will i get any inconsistent due to this skip of DD03l in import abap while installing.
Please confirm me.
Thanks,
Hari

Hi Hari,
This is contains "table fields" info for the dictionary. If you restore this table from another system, you will face with inconsistencies.

Hi Hari,
Both system should have the same components. This is because DD03L table contains essential information for the dictionary.

Well, why did you do it this way?
It is an old fashioned approach (and it still works most cases),
but this is not supported anymore (to simply exchange the DB underneath an already installed system).
You need to install the target system as a systemcopy if you intend to do so.
For Oracle there is support for a restore-based copy through sapinst.
