FM BCS budget to data to Budgetary Ledger?

Former Member

Hello!

I work with SAP ERP6 Ehp4 in a PSM environment, now in development phase. The customer has a number of company codes, using both FM BCS for managaing their original budgets / posting budget changes (original budgets are loaded from a dedicated budgeting system) and CO for planning revenues and expenses by ctr, internal order and WBS plus NewGL to summarize CO plans by profit center, among other dimensions.

The customer requirement to make FM budget postings (not FM actuals) available for FI-GL to allow comparison of budgets and plans. Can this be achieved using Fund Accounting: Cash Flow Reporting (called Budgetary Ledger?) solution? I understand this functionality is offered in Ehp4 as a Business function PSM_FA_CASH with

◦Cash-Basis Accounting

◦Cash-flow Reporting

I have read through the online documentation but can not be sure if this helps at all (mapping of FM objects to GL objects concerns me).

And which are the account assignments which really are available?

Appreciate any help.

Hello,

If you just want to use Budgetary Ledger in combination with BCS to reflect budget data in FI, I think you just need BL. Please check this documentation in the online help:

In the 'Preparing the budgetary ledger' section, you will find the configuration steps needed.

Does this help you?

cheers
