PI 7.3 Mapping function influence on lower version of PI?

Hi Experts,

I've been awared of the new features of mapping function enhancement in PI 7.3,such as RFC Lookup/JDBC Lookup aligns in the function tab,use set variable in the node mapping,etc.

what i'm concern is that if there exists any influence in the mapping functions when we upgrade from PI 7.0 to PI 7.3?coz we don't want it to affects the existing mapping when upgrade to PI 7.3

Any advice would be much appreciated.
