Hi all,
I am configuring SOL 7.1 for EWA.
I have configured SDCCN both on Solution manager 7.1 and Managed System.
In the solution manager, i can find EWA session for managed system.
The question is : When i run "Refresh sessions" on the T-code: SDCCN of Managed system, it can not retrive EWA session where exist on the Solution manager.
How do i do? Can someone help, please.

HI,
Did you set the RFC destination to your SolMan as a master destination?
When you enter attributes of your EWA session in managed system, what RFC destination do you have there?.

Hi,
Please try to run refresh service definition task.
When you're scheduling your "refresh sessions" task you have the attribute icon for it, and when you check attributes what RFC destination you have in the "Task System" part?
Check also the "refresh session" task in "Done" tab, there is a log that you can check for any errors, take a look if there are any messages there.
BR,
Jolanta.
Hi Jolanta,
The Task System is Solution manager system.
The refresh session log :
07.09.2011 14:48:19 Refresh of session overview completed from destination SM_SLMCLNT100_BACK /BDL/SAPLBDL11
07.09.2011 14:48:19 > Sessions are up to date /BDL/SAPLBDL11
07.09.2011 14:48:19 Refresh of session overview started from destination SM_SLMCLNT100_BACK /BDL/SAPLBDL11
It looks it works fine.

Hi Wu,
"Request session data" task shouldn't be really scheduled in managed system.
Please try to run the "refresh service definitions" task and make sure it's pointing to your SolMan.
Remove previous "refresh sessions" tasks and schedule a new one with again your SolMan as a destination.
BR,
Jolanta
Hi,
This task will not be created, it is used only to send data from SolMan to OSS. In the managed system, after you are running "refresh sessions" task, there should be a task called "EarlyWatch Alert for Solution Manager" automatically created.
In the Solution Manager in DSWP and EarlyWatch Alert tab, you mentioned you have a calendar next to the managed system name, what is a date next to it?
BR,
Jolanta.
Hi Jolanta,
In the managed system, after i are running "refresh sessions" task, there are not any a task called "EarlyWatch Alert for Solution Manager".
In the Solution Manager in solman_workcenter(DSWP can't use in solman 7.1), i create EWA session today.
The session icon is "wait for session data".
Then i run "refresh sessions" task in the managed system, it still does not generate "EarlyWatch Alert for Solution Manager" task.

Hello,
You may want to make reference of the session number for the scheduled EWA on the Solution Manager system and then see if you can open it in transaction DSA. If you cannot open it in DSA ( if it dumps or errors out) you will not be able to pull back the service session with a refresh session run on the mamaged system, so this is what I would check. The issue
may very well be with the service session on Solman.

Paul

Hello,
I was reviewing this thread. You stated the sessiosn are not red flagged.
These sessions should be red flagged. They have been scheduled in Solution Manager, and that date has past and the data has not been sent. These are ABAP systems..
First you will see the EWA scheduled, so the icon will be a calendar.
Next it will release and you will see a Flask/Bottle, and that means it is waiting for data.
When it doesn't come the icon changes to a red flag.
When it comes it is rated Red, Yellow and green.
So what icone does it have?
Is it un-rated, an icon of what looks like a new/blank document
Is it a grey Diamond?
When you click on the EWA does it open a blank EWA or does it want to take you to SDCCN on the managed system?
Your answers will help to isolate where the issue really rests. Then we can drill down to find the problem.
Regards,
Paul
Hi Paul,
It is a grey Diamond for yesterday and calendar icon for 9/12.
When i click on the EWA in DSA ,it open a blank EWA.
I find there are not "EWA for solution manger" tasks in the managed system.
Even i run refresh session on the managed system, "EWA for solution manger" task still doesn't create.

Hi,
I remember having issues with the grey icon due to not having some collectors running, did you run "Service preparation check" task (RTCCTOOL) both on managed systems and SolMan?
You might also need to check note 762696, maybe some you are missing some authorizations or function modules.
BR,
Jolanta.
Hi,
please check the below
1. login to your managed system -> goto SDCCN.
2. Select Utilities - Maintain Service Definitions
3. Wait until this job completes.
4. Then run Task - Create - 'Refresh Session' - Leave the target
destination as BACK RFC which point to the solman system.
Please after tat followt the below blog and process EWA manually as stated step by step [How to manually process an EWA report instead of waiting until the next scheduled date.|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SM/HowtomanuallyprocessanEWAreportinsteadofwaitinguntilthenextscheduleddate.]
Thanks,
Jansi
Hi All,
Thanks for everyone suggestions.
This issue is solved by re-run configuration in the solman_setup in the different client.
I delete original configured client, then create new client and re-run configuration.
Maybe some configuration steps have wrong at the old client.
Thanks again for everyone.
Best Regards,
Wu
after reconfiguration in new client,
Follow Note 727998 - Complete Replacement of Service Definitions for SDCC/SDCCN
step 1 :
in the solution manager:
1.1 run report BDL_DELETE_ALL_TABLES in SE38
1.2 SDCCN-> Goto -> Settings -> Task specific -> RFC destinations.
Ensure that connection 'NONE' and SDCC_OSS is maintained, and that the 'master'
1.3 Execute a "service definition refresh" in SDCCN
1.4 Delete any task 'Maintenance Package' in the 'To do' tab in SDCCN.
1.5 Create a new periodic task 'Maintenance Package' in SDCCN
1.6 Call function module /BDL/_GENERATE_LOGFUNCINCLUDES in SE37
Assign the value 'ALL' to the import parameter 'OPTION' (keep the default values for all other parameters) and execute the module.
1.7 Execute "refresh session" in SDCCN
step 2:
in the managed system:
1.1 run report BDL_DELETE_ALL_TABLES in SE38
1.2 SDCCN-> Goto -> Settings -> Task specific -> RFC destinations.
Ensure that only connection SM_<SOL>_BACK' (delete SDCC_OSS )is maintained, and that the 'master'

Hi,
it is the known issue, are you able to see the red flags ?
1)it is the issue with the service definition, please check the note [Note 727998 - Complete Replacement of Service Definitions for SDCC/SDCCN|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=727998], as per that reactivate and activate the refresh service session again.
2) Have you set the master system flag properly as solman,
3) Does your back rfc working fine in both connection and authorisation check.
and check this blog [EarlyWatch Alert is Red Flagged - how to resolve" |http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=228262728]
Thanks,
Jansi
