Data Volume Configuration (DVM) Configuration

Hi,

I am configuring DVM on solman with production systems. Is Business process monitoring configuration is mandatory for DVM?

And also can you please provide DVM help resources?

Hi

which version of Solman are you using ? in 7.1 there is an automated procedure which activates the dvm extractors on satellite systems and check the correct implementation of the needed notes in target systems

Hello,

The SAP help Library lists these pre-requisites:

Prerequisites

1) You have the corresponding authorizations for the work center Running Business Processes.

2) You have the corresponding role for the data volume management and have defined it.

3) In the set-up of the business process monitoring, monitoring objects were defined for the data volume monitoring.

4) There are alerts for key figures that were flagged as relevant for the data volume monitoring.

So I think #3 is the answer to your question.
