Security Question - cannot view documents, lacking permissions?

Hello Experts,

In ESO 5.1 SP9 with integration package, we are creating a PR -> RFQ in the SAP ECC backend system, which is being transferred to ESO. However, when a user assigned the "Purchasing Manager" role tries to see the corresponding RFx in ESO, the following error appears: "You cannot view the document because you do not have sufficient permissions. Contact the document owner to request access to it".

In this case, the only person who has access to this document is the Purchaser who is linked to the Purchasing Group the RFx is assigned to.

I don't understand why a user with a "Purchasing Manager" role cannot view the documents from a subordinate.

Can you please share some light in this matter? Thanks!

Hi

In e sourcing read/ Writ rights over any document is governed by the list of collaborators in that document irrespective of the profile assigned to any user.

What might be happening in your case is when an RFQ from ECC is transferred to RFP in e sourcing, RFP collaborator list would just have purchaser from linked purchasing group added as owner of the document. User with purchasing manager role cannot view this document as he/ she is not added in the collaborator list.
