Dear SAP Friends,
We have a requirement to calculate the rent for a contract on daily basis but posting needs to be done on monthly basis. So in the Posting parameters tab in tcode RECN, in Frequency when I maintain Frequency as "Months" and Amount reference as "Daily Amount" and calculation method as "Exact days", system gives the error as "Frequency: combination of calculation method and frequency is not allowed" - Message no. RECD041.
kindly provide if there is any solution for this.

Niraj Kotalwar
Hi Niraj,
Can you please elaborate what you mean by daily basis of rent calculation. If you want the system to calculate rent for exact number of days that is possible using exact days and also you can recheck the functionality of Pro-rata.

Rohit

Hi Rohit,
Below is an example of the requirement.
Annual Rent - 253470 so Per Day rent is - 694.44
Rental Period is from 10.07.2011 to 31.12.2011
So system should post below rents but only one entry for each month.
Month Rent
July 14,990.16
Aug 21,527.58
Sept 20,833.15
Oct 21,527.58
Nov 20,833.15
Dec 21,527.58
Total 121,526.71

Hi,
One solution could be to create a measurement type for number of days. Maintain the number of days for each month in the contract differring measurement tab. In the condition type take the formula "D" object measurement. and give the measurement type as input in the calcualtion tab. Also maintian the unit price (rate per day) for the condition. When u will simulate the same the system will give the values as required.
Note: No of days for every month needs to be entered manually in the differing measurement tab against the measurement type. Also new line item needs to be created for every month in the differing measurement tab.
Regards,
Deepak
