JDBC Connectivity error

Hello Experts,

I am going with JDBC to Proxy Interface in sender communication channel i am getting follwing error

Error during database connection to the database URL 'jdbc:oracle:thin:@IP:1521:SID' using the JDBC driver 'oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver': 'com.sap.aii.adapter.jdbc.sql.DriverManagerException: Cannot establish connection with the registered driver. oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver returns: Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection. : SQLException: Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection'

I am really stuck at this issue any help is appreciated.

Hi,

Have you checked with your Network Team if the port 1521 of the database server is open? If port is open, they should be able to telnet the DB from the PI system.

Check with your Basis Team about Port enablement and Firewall.

Issue can be due to network\firewall.

Hi Praveen,

Check with your network team, network conenction between PI and Data base not working , Network team have to open Data base system ports inorder connect PI System.

check with Basis team about network connectivty,like they are bale to ping Data base server ip or not.

this is very common problem.
