Hi,
In SAP ME 6.0 SP01 some new web-services have been added named ERP....., eg ERPBOMProcessingInBinding.
These seems to be the same as the older web-services, eg BOMProcessingInBinding.
Why have the new ERP named web-services been added and what is the usage?
Also: Previously I have heard rumours that many new Web-services for a lot of the API's should have been added in 6.0,
but I can't find many new web-services in SP01.
In what release of SAP ME can we expect to get the new web-services for the API's?
Br,
Johan
Hi,
I guess we will have to wait until the release or until we have had our SDK training.

Do NOT use any of the ME web services within the sap.com/me~erpws component (as shown in NWA -> Single Service Administration). These are generally prefixed with "ERP" but also include ItemCustomData and ServiceOrderProcessingIn. These are integration points used by the ERP integration into ME and they are for internal use only. They can change at any time and the changes may not be backwards compatible. They are not for public consumption.

The public API web services are currently being tested. We have some pretty specific test criteria to meet before we release and I hope we'll pass QA within the next couple of months.
If you cannot wait, it's possible for you to expose the public API as a web service yourself via the SDK. I've written a blog entry on that here: /people/tim.drury/blog/2011/01/28/creating-a-custom-sap-me-web-service-utilizing-sap-me-public-api
