Transition of forms from Adobe output designer to SAP Adobe forms

Hi All,

We have a requirement where customer is on SAP R/3 4.7 & has forms designed on Adobe output Designer.

Now customer wants to upgrade to ECC 6.0 & wants to migrate the forms developed in Adobe output designer to Adobe Forms(Adobe PDF/Adobe Interactive).

I feel the approach to migrate should be :

1. Upgrade to ECC 6.0

2. Then migrate the forms from Adobe output Designer to SAP Adobe forms

There are few who are recommeding :

1. Migrate the forms from Adobe output Designer to SAP Adobe forms as customer has a separate landscape for old version of Adobe forms (Isnt ECC 6.0 necessary to do so ?)

2. Then upgrade to ECC 6.0

Customer as of now has a separate landscape for Adobe server with old version of Adobe forms.

Would appreciate your thoughts on the approach for migration.

Thanks,

Best regards,

Prashant

I would think the common sense approach would be to upgrade to ECC 6 first then migrate your forms.

This seems to be just another step in the upgrade process.

We went from 4.7 to ECC 6, but only had Smartforms and SAPScripts. We wound up just re-creating the forms directly in Adobe.
