What are compund attributes in DP?

Will you please elaborate the context of compound attribute ?

We have worked on Navigational atttibutes in APO DP.

In APO Demand Planning, an attribute is a characteristic that is logically assigned and subordinated to another characteristic. Navigational attributes offer a way to plan multiple objects while achieving optimum system performance in Demand Planning.

I have not come across the term compoud attribute in APO DP.
