Hallo SDN Mates,
i have a question regarding oracle licensce.
Do we need to purchase seperate oracle license for installing the solution manager system on oracle database.
or
can we use the productive (oracle) ERP server license for the solution manager server.
regards,
vijay.
SAP offers Solution Manager free of charge. only condition, it must be wth the same databae as the rest of your landscape.
so, no database license are needed.

Hi,
well, if you have your DB license from Oracle directly and not from SAP, you surely need to ask Oracle first.
I found out that this stuff usually depends strongly on the mood of your sales rep
If you have your DB license from SAP, the you do not need an additional DB license
Depending on the solutionmanager features you use, you might need to buy a Solutionmanager license as well.
Allthough most features are free, I think some enterprise management features are not.
