Event Queues ?

Hi,

Can anyone provide some help on event queue ....what are event queues and how it is helpful?

there is something called event driven processing in PI. is it what you are referring to?

Nope...i dont think so....I have an alert in ccms monitroing with the eror text as 'Status of event queue monitoring'. double clicking on this the documentation is displayed which speaks abt the failure of a job and event queue....wondering what this event queue is all about and how it is useful.....am not sure if this has to do with event processing
