CHRMAS is changiing Charactersic setting in CT04

Dear Experts,

We are maintaining the Characterstic settings in CT04 like single valued and multivalued, we have some issue after CHRMAS IDOC processed, ECCRFCUSER is changing Characterstic settings in CT04 from single valued to multivalued.

Note : The Field is singlevalued.

please try to help me to understand on what are all the situtation it will change like this.
