SAP ME 6.0 with Product Visualization 7.2

Hi,

In SAP ME 6.0 Test&Repair has been replaced by Product Visualization.

I have downloaded it from SAP Portal, but when running the executable on my client (32-bit Windows 7)

it starts Extracting files, but then the installation does not go any further.

I get a log file in the folder C:\Program Files\SAP\SapSetup\LOGs, which is pretty interesting.

First it is extracting all files to my temporary directory, but when the setup should begin the log file has these lines:

11:26:00 SapSelfX 1 CreateProcess() on C:\Users\NORDEB~1\AppData\Local\Temp\Temp.Sap\PV7201_0-20007860\SapA00B\Setup\NwSapSetup.exe /product:PV /noRestart

11:26:00 SapSelfX 1 with current directory C:\Users\NORDEB~1\AppData\Local\Temp\Temp.Sap\PV7201_0-20007860

11:26:00 SapSelfX 1E Exit code: 2

The installation tries to run the executable NwSapSetup.exe, but that file is not extracted. The name of the setup executable extracted is: SapPVSetup.exe

Have anyone succeeded in installing Product Visualization 7.2?

Hi Johan,

I've just installed PV7200_0-20007860.exe on my Vista 32bit - and it works fine. But running PV7201_0-20007860.exe seems to lead nowhere. You might need to submit a ticket against PLM-WUI-APP-VWR component.

Hi Sergiy,

Thanks for the answer. I have now installed SP00 and submitted a ticket to correct the issue with

SP01 installation file.
