Dear Friends,

There are several similar problems discussed in the forum, and the answer is almost always "update your Kernel", i find this page http://it.toolbox.com/wiki/index.php/How_to_update_SAP_Kernel , which describes how to update SAP Kernel, but i couldn't find the proper patch for my SAP Kernel.

Could anybody help me to find the proper Patch?

I am using the sapinst.exe file in this path: "51033517_13\SAP_Solution_M._7.0_Inst._Master\IM_WINDOWS_X86_64"

then i select "SAP Solution Manager 4.0 Support Release 4->SAP Systems->Oracle->Central System->Central System"

and when sapinst asks for kernel i insert this path:51033508_15\NW_7.0_SR3_Kernel_WINDOWS__LNX_X86\KU_WINDOWS_X86_64 and sapinst passes the step properly and starts executing installation.

I'd be grateful if you let me know the patch file name which i should use to continue my installation.

Best Regards,

Meysam Kermani

Hi All,

I got same error during same phase.

I followed Rajesh Narkhede steps.

Issue resolved.

  • Logon to Solman client
001 and create following users manually and assign the roles.

  User: J2EE_ADMIN

  Role: SAP_J2EE_ADMIN

  User: SAPJCF

  Role: SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO

  User: J2EE_GUEST

  Role: SAP_J2EE_GUEST

  Given master password

Must changed with first logged in.

Thanks All.

System installations on Windows 2008 R2 require, depending on the database and the product you install, a modified installation kernel DVD:

Hi,

Why are you installing ancient release of solution manager i.e. 4.0 ?

Thanks

Thanks for your reply

becuz there is no other choice in SAPinst menu. i need solution manager only to generate solman key for ECC 6.0 Installation. you mean there is no way to complete this installation? i am in phase 32 of 47. i prefer to complete this installation instead of starting installation of a newer version. but if i have to install a newer one, let me know.

Hi,

If you really want to use solman 4.0, you can use this workaround.

Logon to Solman client 001 and create following users manually and assign the roles.

User: J2EE_ADMIN

Role: SAP_J2EE_ADMIN

User: SAPJCF

Role: SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO

User: J2EE_GUEST

Role: SAP_J2EE_GUEST

Then continue installation.

OR

paste the relevant logs of the phase "Create Java Users" from installation directory like UserCheck.log

Have a look at below notes too...

Note 492210 - Service user for Java cannot be created by RFC

By the way how can i log in to Solman? i just have SAP Management Console on my desktop, nothing else yet!

Hi,

You can log on to the ABAP instance using SAPGui with DDIC user.

If instance is not appearing in SAP MMC, check SAP services and Database services are running.

OR do the following...

Click on START >> Run
type "sapgui <solman_ip> <instance_no>

For example: "sapgui 192.168.0.10 00"

Hi Meysam,

For connecting to the ABAP part of solution manager system you need the SAPGui tool.

For installation software and steps check

Once installed, connect to the ABAP part and create the SAPJSF user with roles as mentioned in previous posts.

Hi,

You should login to client 001 as DDIC user with Master password which you used at the time of installation.

Thanks for your helpful replies

I tried to log on using DDIC but i get this error:

The current program had to be terminated because of an error occurred when initializing the R/3 System.

The error probably occurred when installing the R/3 System.

Error text of the first reported error:

"OS release Windows NT 6.1 7600 8x AMD64 Level 6 (Mod 44 Step 2) is not supported whit this kernel (700)".

I think it's not possible to solve the problem by adding users manually, i should update the kernel. so we return to the first point, any advice?

Hi,

"OS release Windows NT 6.1 7600 8x AMD64 Level 6 (Mod 44 Step 2) is not supported whit this kernel (700)".

The kernel you are using is not supported for Windows 2008 R2....

Try the note, suggested by Markus.

OR

Stop SAP instance

Download and Update the latest supported Kernel Manually... (See the PAM)

Start SAP instance and Continue Old installation.

Hi Friends,

I updated my Kernel by uncaring two SAR files which i downloaded from SMP and merging them in a folder and pasting the contents of this folder with the kernel in D:\usr\sap\SOL(it's my SID)\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64. there were some conflcts, i replaced the files with new ones.

before replacing the kernel i stopped all Windows Services which include:"SAP" in their names, and after finishing replacement i started all of them and then i restarted the server.

now when i re-run SAPinst, i get a new error;

Hi,

com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (102) RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION: Connect to SAP gateway failed

Connect_PM TYPE=A ASHOST=WIN-sap SYSNR=00 GWHOST=WIN-sap GWSERV=sapgw00 PCS=1

See if below entry exists in your "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\services" file.

sapgw00 3300/tcp # SAP System Gateway Port

Are you able to logon to Solman from SAPGui ?

Dispatcher may be in yellow color because setup is not completed yet and Java part is still in progress....

You can check the disp+work version from command pompt.

Open Command Promt and type disp+work and enter

see the Patch level and release info.

Also paste dev_disp, dev_rd and dev_w0 logs from work directory.

Is your system 32bit system ? Have you downloaded correct kernel for your SAP release ?

(Probably you are using 64bit kernel on 32 bit system...)

If required download correct kernel again and try

Just check the same...
