Resource setup and Own SFC

Hi,

At the POD level I need to put SFC of my choice not system generated. Have done the required configuration in u2018Resource Setupu2019 link, attached Resource to Shop Order. However, when operating through POD, system forces me to follow format like prefix should be u201C3000u201D (3000 is my site). There is no Next Number Maintenance configured for the material used. How to remove this prefix.

Hi Suhas,

I've just checked DM520 and it allowed me to create any SFC ID. Here is my setup:

- create a new material with 1-step router;

- create production shop order for this material with Qty=100;

- create the resource of Default type, assign DM520 at PRE_START and enable it;

- in Resource Setup, assign the shop order to the resource;

- open "*" standard POD, select the opreation and the resource, enter whatever SFC ID and click Start.

Hi Suhas,

It sounds like you might have the Check Next Number activity hook enabled

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_me60/helpdata/en/52/4b18fff6304a508186b9405afcf25b/content.htm as it is used to validate the SFC against hte Next Number definition (using * material if the not configured for the specific material )
