How to Apply Kernel Patches to Windows 2008 R2

Dear Friends,

I am trying to install Solution Manager on a 64-bit Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise, during the installation i faced an error:

... createJSF was executed with status error

i searched for a solution and i found out that i should install the latest kernel patch.

now i wanna know, is it possible to install the patch during the installation? i am in phase 32 of 47, will i be able to resume this installation? or i will have to restart the installation? by the way i have 2 other questions;

1.where can i find the patches? i mean what's the file name in SMP?

2.How can i install them? as i read in SDN it is provided as a .SAR file. then what i should do with that SAR file?

Hello,

Yes, possible to install the latest kernel patch now. Before doing that, stop the installation of SAP.. After installation of kernel, you can resume to the same phase by 'continue with old' option in sapint.
