Kernel Issue during HA system installation on Ehp5 ECC 6.0

Dear All,

We're installing HA system on Ehp5 ECC 6.0 system, we completed First cluster node, Database instance and Additional cluster node, while installing Central Instance instance, on parameter definition its asking for the Kernel again and again... it's coz., SL_Controller file being missing and we downloaded and provided the path of the sl_controller location. Again its giving different error message.

Error Message:

Caught ESAPinstException in module call: There exist no dialog element with name instanceNumber and also no mapping for that name in the current keydb client. Please inform the component developer about the bug..

Eventhough We provided the correct location of the kernel, its throwing above error message. Could anyone suggestion what could be done for the above issue.

Hi,

I think the error is due to missing some kernel parts.

did you download the DVDs from SAP Service Marketplace?

all DVD parts (including Kernel, UC-Kernel and SL Controller).

Also please note that adding a line in the start_dir.cd file which

points to the kernel dvd directory might help to fix it as well.

Please also see if SAP note 1562522 is helpful.

Many times sapinst tool has such problems.

I suggest, open a ticket with SAP they will surely help out.
