I want to know the basics of Enterprise Portal and the integration with MDM. Also the impact of EP on MDM. Kindly refer some links.

Performance Impact of Portal on MDM is dependent on few things -

1. Number of records in MDM

2. The network bandwidth in which your two servers are running

3. Proper JVM settings of your portal server

4. the complexity of your custom code on portal.

On an average, the read/write scenario from portal to MDM does not cause any performance issue if the standard guides are followed.
