Hi All,

I have downloaded the SAP NetWeaver 7.0 - Java and ABAP Trial Version on Linux - VMware Edition, from the below link

/people/gregor.wolf3/blog/2008/03/31/sap-netweaver-70java-and-abap-trial-version-on-linuxvmware-edition--tips-tricks, as guided in the post I have extracted the files and start my SUSE Linux OS,But when I try to start the SAP system I get the following Error "

ivml2005:~ # su - n4sadm

n4shost:n4sadm 34> startsap n4hosts

startsap: Command not found.

n4shost:n4sadm 35> "

Later Added the the IP address to host file both on SUSE Linux OS (/etc/hosts), and windows OS(path:C:windowssystem32driversetc), :Eg :

127.0.0.1 localhost

192.168.155.1 ivml2005 ivml2005.wdf.sap.corp

192.168.155.1 n4shost

But no go

please find the details of the ipaddress on VMware :

ivml2005:~ # ifconfig

eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:50:56:25:E5:24

I also encountered the same issue. Like Jasper Freeman says:

Hi John,

Don't know if you resolved this problem, however:

For the trial to work there are two sets of VMs needed. The first is from the SAP and the other is from Novell.

I ran into the same problem earlier this week. The "Command not found" error was resolved once I downloaded the VM from Novell.

You will need:

SAP NetWeaver 70 - Java and ABAP VMware Trial*.rar

and

SLES10SP1VSAP.rar. The trial software is from SAP download and the SLES10SP1VSAP is from Novell.

I hope this helps you get your SAP-VM working.

Regards,

Jasper

Also, I have two virtual machines on my VMWare: SUSE Linux Enterprise Server Test_Drive and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP1. I started  SUSE Linux Enterprise Server Test_Drive. I got a message saying that says "cannot connect the virtual device ide0" and asked me if I wanted to try to connect everytime.. I said NO. Hope it helps.

Hi,

Have you instaled SAP ?

You have no where mentioned about the installation.

Please refer the guides at below location for SAP installation
