Installation SAP Solution Manager 7.1 on Windows 2008 R2 x64 --> Java SDK

Hi,

I have to install a Central System with a SAP Solution Manager.

I dowloaded all the SAP specific files from the marketstore at sap.com.

In the Installation is described, that i have to install an java sdk for my system.

I tried to install different java versions, but without happy results.

Can anybody help me please and tell me,

Which SDK is compatible with my system and compatible with SAP Solution Manager 7.1 ?

If you need any informations, please let me know it.

Please download Java SDK 1.4 from below link and then try:

As per PAM, below SDK are supported for Solution manager 7.1:

SUN JSE 1.4.2 64BIT WINDOWS SRV 2008 R2/IA64 64BIT Released 16.05.2011

SUN JSE 1.4.2 64BIT WINDOWS SRV 2008 R2/X64 64BIT Released 16.05.2011

Hi Sunny,

thank you very much for your response.

Im sorry, but I can't find a Version which works with my System..

Furthermore there isn't a download like your description.

My System Configuration is:

Intel XEON CPU E7450

8 GB RAM

Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard, 64 Bit Operating System.

All the Java Downloads, which i tried was ending with an error

by Java Installtion --> Wrong Plattform (Intel / AMD?)

by SAP: Wrong Java Version. (Before I had an 32 Bit installtion of Java).

You need to use the AMD64 version, not IA64.

Hi,

Link which I have given you earlier contains SDK for x64 or AMD processor. Download it and it will work for your platform.

Hi,

apart from 1.4.2 Sun Java not beeing supported any more (Use SAP JVM instead), the Installation proces of JSDK 1.4.2_xx will abort with an error when beeing started for the first time telling you that you use the wron platform, if you repeat this installation everything will go fine!

Don't forget to set the environmen variables espiacially PATH and TEMP/TMP..

Good luck and think about moving to SAPJVM
