Error opening communication channel tree

Hi,

i'm trying to open the comm channel tree in PI 7.1. When i click on the icon left to expand the tree i'm getting the error message

while trying to invoke the method com.sap.aii.ib.bom.gen.XiReference.getTypeId() of an object loaded from local variable 'xiReference'

Clicking on ok to acknowledge the error message the icon for the comm channels tree disappears.

I was not able to find an oss note for that. Does anybody has some information on how to solve that?

Can you apply the note #1576798 'No objects shown in navigation tree' to try to resolve this issue

Thx for the quick reply. Strange that i was looking exactly for the error message mentionend in the note but it wasnt popping up...

As i need Basis team to implement the patch and this issue is blocking our development, is there a quick (maybe dirty) workaround?

I'm not aware of any workaround at present, any previous instances of this issue which I've seen have been resolved by applying the previously referenced note.
