Hello Prasad,

you need to install "SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.02 SP6 32-bit Developer Edition", if you dont have R3. Since you already have R3 and developed webdynpro application then this is not required for you.

If you want to integrate your webdynpro application into the portal, then you need to install SAP CE 7.2 server (basically JAVA stack)

Thanks Saravanan,

i have one question , both "SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.02 SP6 32-bit Developer Edition" and ECC 6.0(R3) are equal?

If i have installled portal server, can i use this "SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.02 SP6 32-bit Developer Edition" as BackEnd to call some RFC's.

Thanks

They are not equal. Developer edition is a lighter version with only the framework for developing sample applications whereas ECC will have more functional stuffs.

Yes. this is possible.

SE80 is enough, you don't need a portal to develop webdynpro for ABAP

They are talking about NetWeaver for ABAP, that doesn't mean the portal.

The portal is NetWeaver Java
