Batch Job creation

Can someone kindly tell me know in details the steps for creating a batch job then assigning this job to scheduler and lastly monitoring a job .

hi,

Please go to t code SM36 and provide job name and then press enter

Provide the program name and variant, and press save

Then provide the frequency of the batch job and save again, it will then schedule the batch job,

if you want the job to be run immediately, you can set so as well,

please let me know if this helps,

You can moniter the job status through SM37

Hi ,

If you don't need to schedule a job, you can run your program in the background immediately.

Before you run a report, goto top menu 'Program', then select "Execute in Background'.
