I am doing a system copy ABAP+Java and in the post-intallation task. The server0 can not be started due to the following error:

Caused by: com.sap.security.core.persistence.datasource.PersistenceException: Connect to message server host failed

The group is setup properly in SMLG in ABAP and is green. I have also tried different group name but got the same error.
Does anyone come aross this issue?

Also in the ABAP system, check SMLG transaction code.
Group PUBLIC should be defined here.

Check if sapmsBWT is maintained in /etc/services file
Do a telnet test and see the result
telnet sapbwtsap1 sapmsBWT
