Creating Interface Node in Std. WDA Component

Hello Friends,

The business requirement is to send data from one standard WDA component A to another standard WDA component B.

I created a custom node in the component controller of component B using Enhancement Framework. I tried to activate the "Interface node" and "Input Element" properties for the node, but these options are grayed out. I understand that these 2 options need to be checked to enable data communication between the 2 components.

Am I missing something here. Can you please help me out.
