Hi all,
My client has the following scenarion for minimizing total setup times etc.
Products belonging to productfamily A can be produced in week 1, 4, 7 etc only.
Products belonging to productfamily B can be produced. In week 2, 5, 8 etc only.
Products belonging to productfamily C can be produced. In week 3, 6, 9 etc only.
How can I force the heuristic for instance not to plan products belonging to B in week 1, 4, 7 etc?.
Is this possible in APO SNP?
Many thanks for your help!
Kind regards,
Piet

Hi,
We have similar requirement and we are achiving by following way.
1. Create 3 dummy res in APO (say DummyA, dummy B and dummy C)
2. Assign res dummy A to PDS of products which are to be produced n week 1,3...etc
similar assing other dummy res to other prod
3. Create shift seq which is valid only for week1,4 etc
Assign this shift seq to Dummy Res A.
Similariliy create other shift seq and assign to corresponidng dummy res.
We are uisng SNP Optimizer but it should also work with SNP Heuristics.

Hi,
You can do it using alternative resources and assigning calenders with such working times to these resources.

You can try setting lot sizing to control production frequency. It is more of a scheduling function to control run frequencies.
