Hi - When migrating from AC 5.3 to AC 10.0, do we need to close all CUP requests in an Open or Hold status?

Thanks,

Rich

Hi Rich,

It is recommended to close the Open/Hold requests before you migrate to AC10, since the customization options/templates, workflow, and configuration methodology is entirely different from Access Request Management when compared to CUP.

Just for an idea on the end user personalization settings, you may refer the below article:

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/bpx/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a0232a0f-29a6-2e10-f8a6-d605a8d05...

However, the best option is to have AC10 installed while your AC 5.3 is still live. This will help you to fix any identified issues during the AC10 golive and also minimizes the end user issues during this migration.

SAP has a recommendation on the same in SAP note 1590030.

The note provides detailed steps that one should take before upgrading to SAP GRC Access Control 10.

Additionally, you may also refer:
