Storage bin

Hi

We would like to know how SAP determinates the storage bin during an stock transfer.

Example:

Material: XXXX

Warehouse number: 400

Storage type: 001

Batch: 55555

Storage bin: A; B; C

Stock availability: 4

So,

400/001/XXXX/55555/A stock 1

400/001/XXXX/55555/B/ stock 2

400/001/XXXX/55555/C/ stock 1

When we do a material transfer through MM (movement type 311/313) we can not define the storage bin. If we move 1 piece of XXXX for the batch 55555....from which storage bin does SAP takes the stock?

Which is the logic used for SAP to determinate the storage bin?

Please check which picking strategy being used u2013 I hope you are working on FIFO strategy.( stringent FIFO)

In this case system picks oldest quant.

Also check in material master u2013 material is marked for FIFO relevant or not.
