Hi Guys,

does annyone of you solve this problem with the 32bit ODAC Client and Oracle 11g Database Server using them on the same Server?

Aktually i am trying to install an IdM 7.2 testsystem for my company and i am stuck with the same problem, depending on the environment variables the ole db driver for the identity center works but database doesnt work or database works but ole db driver doesnt work.

How exactly did you install the ODAC components? directory?

ODAC Directory:

\oracle\SID\11202 <- ORACLE_Home

\oracle\SID\11202_y <- ODAC

How I got it running under 2008 Server 64.

Install Oracle 11 64bit

Install IDM DB (mxmc install)

Install MMC/Runtime

Install 32bit Oracle ODTwithODAC112021.zip (Client Installation)

This worked.

I then see the driver in the IDM MMC.

Hi Christian,

i tried your Odac Version. But with the same Problem:

I chose client installation

these are my default values:

Oracle Base: F:\app\"sidadmin"

Name: OraClient11g_home1

Path:E:\oracle\<SID>\11202 <-- Oracle_Home

When I chose next I get the OUI 10044 Error (I can not install in Oracle home)

So I change the Pathe to E:\oracle\<SID>\11202_xyz

The Installation works whithout error.

Problem is in my Environment Variables (System Variables Path) change to: E:\oracle\<SID>\11202_xyz;E:\oracle\<SID>\11202_xyz\bin;;E:\oracle\<SID>\11202\bin;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;

So I can chose the Ole DB driver in ID-Center but my Database shows me n TNS Error???

How is your experience at this point?

Have you reviewed the documentation? It's fairly straightforward.

If this is your first time installing IDM, I'd reccomend SQL Server if possible. Oracle can be picky.

Please let us know if you have any specific questions, I'll be glad to help!

Hi Matt!

Thank you for your effort

I am Tecnical Junior Colsultant and i got this Job. I have to build a IdM-Testsytem with this consultation:

OS -> Windows Server 2008

IDM Version -> 7.2

DB-> Oracle 10 or 11

I have read many Install-Guides, documents and tried many things but the success has failed.

Can you help me to solve this problem?

Thank you very much!

How exactly did you fail? I assume that you are following installation guide provided by SAP. Which step of installation failed?

Cheers

I already installed the database, NetWeaver, Runtime Components, the ID-Center and the Database Shema für the ID-Center.

For the DB connections it is necessary to install ODAC. I use ODAC112012_32B. The Problem is I cannot install the ODAC into the Oracle_home directory. So I get two separate Folders. After that I get problems with the Path Variables. In the IC-Configuration I cannot pick the oracle Provider for OLE DB. If I change the variables the DB is no longer available.

IC-Center works; DB not working

Path:

E:oracleM1911202_1;E:oracleM1911202 in;E:oracleM1911202_1 in;%SystemRoot%system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%System32Wbem;%SYSTEMROOT%System32WindowsPowerShellv1.0;E:oracleM1911202_1jre1.5.0 in

IC-Center not working; DB works

Path:

E:oracleM1911202 in;E:oracleM1911202_1 in;%SystemRoot%system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%System32Wbem;%SYSTEMROOT%System32WindowsPowerShellv1.0;E:oracleM1911202_1jre1.5.0 in

If you can't use SQL Server, I'd use Oracle 10.

Bad side to Oracle is that you usually have some need for DBA resources to finish the tasks.

What is ODAC?

I done that under Oracle 10.

64bit Oracle, 32bit Oracle Client.

Both on the same box.

I also got different paths for Client and Server.

I also recently installed IDM SP6 on Oracle 11g. It also works.

Do you have some more logs?
