hexadecimal for character u00A4

Hi,

Can any body tell what is the hexa decimel for the charachter

my input file is

A¤B

the legacy team is sending this in UTF format..

i have used ¤ as field separator , which is working fine .. but when i create dynamic directory with "A" as the directory .. i am getting question mark "?" before A.

i know this is an encoding issue, but how to solve it.

should i try with hexadecila or ASCII for this ... can anyone share please?

I got the hex code as a4 .

should directly use this ? or 0xa4 or 0xA4.

have u ever faced this issue before?
