PDF Properties: How to Set Using Smartforms

Hi.

Is it possible to Set the properties of PDF forms from SMARTFORMS? When you open PDF, File --> Properties --> Security --> Filling of Fields: Not Allowed. How do i set it to Not Allowed? Is this something that can be handled by SMARTFORMS? We are using CL_DOCUMENT_BCS to send the pdf as attachment.

Hi All,

I gave them the OSS note mentioned. However, they have a new query whether SMARTFORMS can produced TIF output (Tagged Image File Format). Is this still possible?

hi,

use CONVERT_OTF_2_PDF function module for converting otf to pdf

use SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 function module for sending pdf as attachment

you will get required output.

Hi,

The SAP PDF converter cannot create non-editable PDF files. No PDF parameters can be set as described in the following SAP Note: 841850 - Unsupported PDF features with OTF conversion

There are some workarounds discussed in note #841850.
