Hi MDM experts,
Presently iam working on SAP SEM, i have work experince on BW, XI and ABAP also. Iam intersted to learn MDM .
Is there any relation between MDM and SEM, BW, XI and ABAP. Please suggest me whether it is useful for me or not. If yes please guide me how to learn. If anybody have some documents please send it to me. It would be great help for me.

Hey Shekar,
Its great to know that you are keen to learn MDM.
The skill set you have is great for you to start off with MDM.
MDM basically provides you single version of truth.
If you n different systems maintaining n types of data, you could have big problem getting the right data.
Using MDM, you have a single repository where you store all the master data and all the other systems are in sync with the MDM.
How do ur skill set help here?
MDM uses XI to communicate with other systems.
Your knowledge of XI could help you in setting up harmonisation scenario.
MDM also connects to SAP where it sends and recieves IDOCS.
Your ABAP knowledge could be helpful in this case.
MDM also interacts with other systems like BW, SEM etc.
Here is again where BW knowldege could be helpful.

It would be better to learn MDM
You can get the basic at SDN ,master dat mgmt on left side.
